So we have a debate over whether our betta Jeffrey sleeps or not, and I’m absolutely positive he does!Įvery night Jeffrey goes into his same back corner of the tank where the heater is and floats on his belly there, very still under the lily pad decor. My mom told me fish don’t sleep, they just continuously swim and that when I was young she thought it was so sad when I would be like “AW LOOK MOMMY, THE FISH IS SLEEPING!” because it was always when it was floating at the top after it had passed on.
